Senior Full Stack Engineer

As a technical leader, you will mentor teammates, guide decisions, and deliver elegant solutions to complex challenges. You will be a Ruby on Rails expert, experienced in designing and maintaining backend-heavy full-stack applications and architecting distributed systems. You will build and scale our Ruby on Rails web application, focusing on backend services, and develop user-focused applications. The estimated salary is $150,000 to $180,000 USD/CAD, including a variable component and equity. Requirements

• Have 6+ years of professional coding experience
• Be a Ruby on Rails expert
• Have used RoR to develop production applications for at least 18 months
• Be experienced in designing and maintaining backend-heavy full-stack applications
• Be experienced in architecting distributed systems
• Be experienced in owning services end-to-end—including infrastructure-as-code and cloud deployments (AWS or GCP)

Responsibilities

• Build and scale our Ruby on Rails web application, focusing on backend services
• Develop and maintain user-focused applications and interfaces with Typescript and Lit frameworks
• Design and implement end-to-end systems, including performance testing and system integrations
• Identify, assess, and resolve bottlenecks or scaling issues
• Contribute to building real-time capabilities and scalable microservices to support rapid data operations
• Develop integrations with third-party APIs and ensure efficient data transfers to destination platforms
• Always look for opportunities to make the product better and delight our customers
