Senior Full Stack Engineer II

Summary

Join our dynamic Ops Platform team at dbt Labs and contribute to building a customer-facing application that automates private endpoint connectivity for dbt Cloud. As a full-stack engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain this application, collaborating with infrastructure and product teams. You will utilize technologies like Python, Django, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, and React. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to impact customer experience directly. Requirements

• Experience working asynchronously as part of a fully remote, distributed team
• Proficiency in full-stack development with TypeScript/React, Python, and Django
• Strong database skills, particularly with PostgreSQL or equivalent relational databases
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• A strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across teams
• Have 8+ years of experience as a software engineer
• Minimum requirement of bachelor's degree in a related field (computer science, computer engineering, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain a full-stack application that automates PrivateLink and Private Service Connect provisioning
• Collaborate with infrastructure and product teams to define and refine product requirements
• Implement secure and scalable backend services using Python, Django, and PostgreSQL (or equivalent relational databases)
• Build intuitive and responsive front-end interfaces using TypeScript and React
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to enable seamless interactions between infrastructure components
• Ensure high availability and reliability of the application through best practices in cloud-based deployment
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging automation and modern development workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform)
• Familiarity with PrivateLink and/or Private Service Connect
• A background in networking and secure cloud connectivity
