Summary

Join The Credit Pros as a Lead Full Stack Developer in a 100% remote role, where you'll design, build, and maintain full-stack applications using PHP, Python, Laravel, and React. You'll be responsible for the entire lifecycle of solutions, from requirements mapping to architecture, development, deployment, and continuous improvement. This role requires strong leadership and mentorship skills, as you'll guide and support other developers. You'll also be involved in implementing security best practices, automating workflows, and integrating AI solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about solving real business problems through clean architecture, scalable code, and thoughtful infrastructure decisions, particularly leveraging AWS, secure APIs, and CI/CD best practices.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in PHP, Python, Laravel, React (any level, but eagerness to grow in all)
  • Excellent knowledge of API frameworks (REST, GraphQL) and secure API development
  • Deep understanding of application security principles, best practices, and threat mitigation (e.g., OWASP Top 10, secure authentication, data encryption)
  • Strong experience building and consuming APIs across distributed systems
  • Experience with workflow automation tools like n8n, Pipedream, or Zapier
  • Familiarity with database design, data mapping, and schema building
  • Solid grasp of CI/CD, version control (Git), and DevOps principles
  • Experience optimizing cost and performance on AWS infrastructure
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and system architecture design
  • Exposure to or interest in AI/ML applications and tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in full stack or software development roles

Responsibilities

  • Application Development & Architecture: Design, build, and maintain scalable full stack applications using PHP, Python, Laravel, React, and modern frameworks, adhering to clean code and secure coding standards
  • API Development & Integration: Architect, build, and secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs
  • Leverage best-in-class API frameworks and security practices to ensure safe, scalable, and high-performance integrations
  • Workflow Automation & System Integration: Develop and optimize automated workflows using tools like n8n, Pipedream, Zapier, or AI-enhanced automation platforms
  • Ensure seamless integration across APIs, databases, and external systems
  • Business Requirements to Execution: Proactively engage stakeholders to understand business goals, translate them into actionable tasks, and define the technical architecture needed to deliver them
  • Raise your hand when clarity is needed—no assumptions, no silos
  • Application Security: Implement security best practices across the application stack
  • Be proactive in identifying vulnerabilities, enforcing secure authentication/authorization flows, and integrating tools for code scanning, auditing, and protection against common threats (OWASP, etc.)
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Set the standard for other developers
  • Lead code reviews, share knowledge, and mentor junior team members
  • Be the go-to problem solver when things get complex
  • DevOps & Cloud Efficiency: Ensure responsible use of AWS services to maintain cost-efficiency and reliability
  • Utilize and enhance CI/CD pipelines to maintain a strong development-to-deployment flow
  • Release Management & QA: Own the deployment process
  • Ensure releases are stable, well-tested, secure, and business-ready
  • Be meticulous in change management and rollback planning
  • AI Integration: Bring curiosity and capability to experiment and integrate AI solutions into workflows and applications for performance and decision support
  • SDLC Adherence: Be an architect of process
  • Champion development standards, documentation, and agile or lean methodologies to ensure structured progress and predictable outcomes
