Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack) to build the Ava experience on the web. The role requires 5+ years of Full Stack Developer experience, proficiency in specific technologies, and bonus qualifications. The position offers remote work and a salary range of 150-180K base.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer
• Good with React and Node, Typescript, CSS
• Familiarity with AWS, Firebase & Docker

Responsibilities

• Build key features from the Ava app to the web: through conception, research, maintenance, and polish
• Own the Web development and deployments at Ava and coordinate prioritization with the Product & Engineering teams
• Build improvements to performance, reliability, product polish, and release delivery process
• Work on our website alongside our growth team to optimize our acquisition funnel and create a great first impression for newcomers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Rust
• MS in Computer Science
• Built and maintained quality user interfaces & complex web applications that have reached a large audience, ideally while the product is experiencing rapid growth
• Care about the business implications of anything built. Understand the balance between craft, speed, and the bottom line
