Senior Fullstack Engineer

Summary

Join Samsara's New Product team as a Full-Stack Software Engineer to design and develop a new product across a broad surface area, driving impact for current and future customers. This role is ideal for passionate builders who thrive on the challenge of developing new products from the ground up, working across backend, frontend, and mobile stacks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience in software development
• Strong programming/coding fundamentals with proficiency in at least one of the following: Go, GraphQL, TypeScript, React
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage technical discussions

Responsibilities

• Work with product managers, designers, and engineers from various teams to architect, build, test, and deliver a new product across front-end, back-end, and mobile
• Continuously evaluate and improve the performance, reliability, and user experience of our new product
• Propose technical solutions and spearhead technical solutioning on some of the team’s initiatives
• Help mentor, develop, and support other engineers on the team
• Maintain a regular feedback loop to allow for implementation iterations and making adjustments
• Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS knowledge and expertise
• Experience in React Native
• Experience delivering a new product
