Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Summary

Join a pioneering AI-powered workforce automation startup as a Founding Senior Full-Stack Engineer. You will spearhead the development of an AI-driven talent marketplace, handling both front-end and back-end development using technologies like React, Node.js, Python, and PostgreSQL. This role demands expertise in building scalable systems, integrating AI models, and creating seamless API connections. The position offers a remote work opportunity with a US-based company and the chance to shape a game-changing product in a high-growth market. You will work closely with founders and product teams in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, long-term independent contractor position.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience, with deep expertise in React, Node.js, Python, and/or TypeScript
• You’ve scaled platforms before — marketplaces, fintech, or automation-heavy products are a huge plus
• You’re product-driven — you build with user impact in mind, not just cool tech
• You can own projects end-to-end, from architecture to deployment — no hand-holding needed
• You have experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud
• You love automation and hate manual work — you’ve built internal tools, workflow engines, or AI-powered efficiencies before
• Strong background in database design & optimization (RDBMS, NoSQL)

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development of our AI-driven talent marketplace, automating sourcing, vetting, and matching
• Own both backend (Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL) and frontend (React, TypeScript) like a pro
• Integrate cutting-edge AI models that supercharge our hiring automation
• Be the first to architect and build our technical stack such that it can scale as we grow
• Design for high availability & reliability
• Build and integrate APIs that plug seamlessly into HR tech stacks, QuickBooks, and other financial systems as needed
• Work with founders & product to iterate like a rocket ship, not a sluggish enterprise dinosaur

Preferred Qualifications

Bonus points if you have experience with AI/ML, vector databases, and LLMs
