Summary
Join our team as a Senior GL Accountant and play a key role in our month-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. You will reconcile bank accounts, prepare journal entries for various accounts, and prepare SEC footnotes and schedules. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP, as well as experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP. You will also be involved in developing and improving business processes and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external departments. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Knowledge, skills and abilities typically associated with 5+ years of professional experience in Accounting
- Experience working with NetSuite or other similar ERP
- General understanding of SOX practice paired with demonstrated experience executing against
- Experience at a publicly traded company
- Knowledge of general accepted accounting principles (US GAAP)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office
Responsibilities
- Conduct month-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Reconcile various bank accounts, journal entries, and account analysis
- Prepare journal entries for investments, debt, intangible assets, cash accounts, prepaids and other current assets or liabilities and department allocations
- Prepare SEC footnotes and schedules for investments and intangible assets
- Complete monthly SOX controls and provide support to internal auditors as needed
- Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external departments
- Ensure that accounting needs are completed within required timelines
- Review accounting processes and procedures, make recommendations, and implement improvements with management
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA
- Global experience
- FloQast or other close management software experience
- Experience contributing to SEC filings
