Senior GL Accountant

Summary

Join our team as a Senior GL Accountant and play a key role in our month-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. You will reconcile bank accounts, prepare journal entries for various accounts, and prepare SEC footnotes and schedules. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP, as well as experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP. You will also be involved in developing and improving business processes and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external departments. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Knowledge, skills and abilities typically associated with 5+ years of professional experience in Accounting
• Experience working with NetSuite or other similar ERP
• General understanding of SOX practice paired with demonstrated experience executing against
• Experience at a publicly traded company
• Knowledge of general accepted accounting principles (US GAAP)
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office

Responsibilities

• Conduct month-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Reconcile various bank accounts, journal entries, and account analysis
• Prepare journal entries for investments, debt, intangible assets, cash accounts, prepaids and other current assets or liabilities and department allocations
• Prepare SEC footnotes and schedules for investments and intangible assets
• Complete monthly SOX controls and provide support to internal auditors as needed
• Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external departments
• Ensure that accounting needs are completed within required timelines
• Review accounting processes and procedures, make recommendations, and implement improvements with management

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA
• Global experience
• FloQast or other close management software experience
• Experience contributing to SEC filings
