Senior Golang Engineer

Summary

Join our prominent, publicly traded US-based company specializing in real estate IT services. We offer a fully remote work culture, prioritizing work-life balance and personal growth. Based anywhere in Vietnam (with valid work visa), you'll work 40 hours/week, collaborating with US teams. The role requires strong Go, database, and cloud skills, along with excellent English communication. We provide a Macbook. Compensation is hourly (USD 13-25/hour) managed through a Singapore-based firm, converted to VND upon withdrawal.

Requirements

• Be a Vietnamese citizen or hold a valid work visa for Vietnam
• Work full-time, requiring 40 hours of work per week
• Possess fluent English for communication with international teams
• Possess strong logical thinking, be skilled at analyzing and solving problems, and have good communication abilities
• Demonstrate strong English proficiency and communicate fluently with team members and stakeholders across various regions, particularly with the US team
• Be proficient in Go, experienced with gRPC, and capable of writing efficient and robust server-side programs
• Possess strong database design skills, be familiar with common databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis
• Have solid knowledge of data structures, strong programming skills, engineering capabilities, and clean coding practices
• Be familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS S3, AWS RDS, and related frameworks and components
• Be proficient in common Git commands and workflows, particularly those related to GitHub pull requests

Responsibilities

• Work an average of 8 hours a day, allowing for flexibility and autonomy
• Allocate time for daily communication and prompt response with the team, ensuring efficient task completion

Preferred Qualifications

• Have prior experience with remote work
• Be available to work during the US Eastern Time Zone (9 pm and 5 am Vietnam Time) or at least a 5-hour overlap between 9 pm and 2 am Vietnam Time for effective collaboration across teams in different time zones
