You will collaborate with various teams, including the CEO and executive leadership, to gather data and craft compelling narratives for funders. Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree and some experience in nonprofit development
  • 3-5 years of experience in written communication, philanthropic partnerships, donor stewardship, and storytelling
  • Strong track record of effective project management and experience in inter-department collaboration and communication
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, and prospecting platforms including iWave as well as computer software, particularly Excel
  • Capacity to take initiative and lead projects from beginning to end
  • Ability to be a team player in a fast-paced environment
  • Meticulous organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Write BBYOโ€™s national grants in partnership with the Chief Executive Officer
  • Provide support and work with fundraisers on grants in local communities
  • Work collaboratively with program team leadership to gather information for grants, reports, and funding renewals
  • Manage and ensure adherence to all grant deadlines and milestones
  • Ensure compliance with all financial and programmatic reporting requirements expressed by institutional funders
  • Work with finance team to build programmatic budgets, produce accurate and timely financial reports, and ensure proper expense tracking against grant funds
  • Identify, solicit, and steward organizations interested in sponsoring BBYO International Convention
  • Identify potential donors and funders as new prospects for future funding and cultivation
  • Organize research strategy sessions with team members to identify prospects and develop strategies for moving prospects through the solicitation process
  • Provide briefing materials about major donors and prospects to the CEO and executive leadership team
