Summary
Digital Extremes is seeking a self-directed Senior Graphics Programmer to join their team and improve all facets of the game by developing and maintaining a cutting-edge 3D graphics rendering system. The role involves implementing the latest rendering techniques, collaborating with designers, artists, and other engineers, and contributing innovative ideas towards the 3D technology.
Requirements
- Expertise in C++
- Must have previous Graphics/Rendering experience
- Able to implement modern rendering algorithms and is familiar with rendering techniques (volumetrics, lighting, shadows, decals, particles, reflections, PBR workflow etc.)
- B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent game development experience
- Strong communication skills, work ethic and motivation
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain code in a fast 3D game engine
- Implement cutting-edge technology in 3D graphics to games across platforms
- Collaborate with designers, artists and other engineers
- Contribute and innovative original ideas toward all aspects of our 3D technology
- Maintain code performance through profiling and optimization
- Provide direction for the code architecture of a next-gen game engine
- Write clear technical design and specification documents
- Encourage an open and free-thinking team atmosphere by accepting and providing direction and feedback to/from other team members
- Participate and engage with the entire production team to stay current on the scope and understanding of the project
