Join Cloud Chamber as a Senior Hard Surface Artist and contribute to the next BioShock installment. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience creating high-quality 3D weapons, props, architecture and environments for AAA games and at least 1 shipped title
  • Highly proficient in 3ds Max, Maya, Blender and Photoshop
  • Proficient in Z-Brush and Substance Painter
  • Ability to work with a high degree of self-direction
  • Highly skilled in hard surface modeling
  • Strong aesthetic appreciation for composition, proportion, mass, volume, light, lighting and color

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Art Leads, Environment Artists and other Modelers to create highly detailed and visually compelling hard-surface assets, which primarily include weapons, but also interactive objects, props, as well as other architectural & environmental elements
  • Create visually appealing, hard-surface 3D models based on concept art and/or photo reference while extracting the brightest details and exaggerating those to a point of caricature
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure consistency and compliance for rigging and animation
  • Create exemplary benchmark weapons models and textures
  • Highly contribute to the establishment of the weapon modeling/texturing creation pipeline and look development
  • Works closely with Art leads to ensure that environments and assets match the quality bar and vision for the game’s direction
  • Receive and apply feedback effectively while maintaining a positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 and/or 5 is highly desired
  • Foundation in traditional art with ability to concept ideas
  • Strong understanding of how objects and architecture are built in the real world
  • Interest and dedication to advancing your craft, and eagerness to learn new techniques and software
