Senior Host Advisory Board Lead

Summary

Join Airbnb's Community team as the leader of the Expanding Beyond the Core Host Advisory Board. This highly visible role requires strong community engagement, program management, and research skills. You will develop and execute a vision for the board, define key performance indicators, and ensure its initiatives align with Airbnb's goals. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, synthesizing host feedback, and advocating for host perspectives. You will be responsible for member onboarding, offboarding, and engagement, ensuring a diverse and representative group. Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in community engagement, program management and research with a focus on building strong relationships with customers / community
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with product, design, engineering, policy, and operations teams
• Passion for working with the Airbnb community and connecting what you hear to internal stakeholders
• Self-starter with the ability to navigate ambiguity and take initiative
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and stay organized
• Skilled at synthesizing complex information into high-level executive reporting
• Comfortable in fast-paced, dynamic environments, particularly startups
• Able to work independently with minimal guidance while proactively addressing challenges
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Accountable for leadership of the Host Advisory Board for Expanding Beyond the Core
• Develop and deliver on a vision for the Host Advisory Board that is focused on Expanding Beyond the Core
• Define key performance indicators to measure success, ensuring that the board's initiatives contribute to Airbnb's goals
• Work to embed the Host Advisory Board within the host community as a key way Airbnb engages its community
• Collaborative with the Stays Host Advisory Board Lead and other key stakeholders, ensuring alignment across programs
• Lead the cross functional effort to identify, vet, onboard, off boarding of members ensuring a diverse and representative group that reflects the needs of the host community and Airbnb
• Lead feedback sessions with the hosts and with Product, Design, Policy, and Operations teams, ensuring that host voices are heard and integrated into decision-making processes
• Empower Board members by providing them with the tools and resources needed to engage meaningfully with each other and the broader Airbnb community
• Custodian of Host Advisory Board members including engagement and sentiment measurement and strategy
• Develop strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including Research and Consumer Insights
• Build influential partnerships with product, policy, and operations leadership, serving as a trusted advisor and advocate for host perspectives
• Collaborate with internal communications teams to amplify host voices in key forums across Airbnb
• Synthesize host feedback from the Host Advisory Board and drive advocacy across Airbnb
• Manage and prioritize business requests for the Host Advisory Board

Preferred Qualifications

Ideally direct experience being an Airbnb host, or have a sound understanding of the Airbnb community
