Summary
Join Lumos as our first Senior HR Generalist and play a pivotal role in shaping our HR function. You will be a trusted advisor to employees and managers, handling day-to-day HR operations, managing benefits, and ensuring compliance. Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in an HR role, including 2 years of HRBP experience
- Experience working in the SaaS/Tech space
- Ability and desire to work autonomously and navigate through ambiguity as the company scales
- Proven track record of creating and scaling successful HR processes and programs
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted partner to employees, managers, and leaders, fostering a positive, inclusive, and equitable employee experience. Provide guidance and coaching on employee relations matters and professional development
- Manage day-to-day HR functions, including onboarding, offboarding, and ongoing employee lifecycle processes. Ensure accurate and secure maintenance of employee files and HR records in compliance with legal requirements
- Maintain and optimize the HR tech stack, including systems like SequoiaOne, Deel, and other employee platforms. Ensure accurate employee data management and provide actionable insights by analyzing people-related metrics
- Coordinate and support benefit programs, including health insurance, leave management, and retirement plans. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries and work with vendors to resolve issues
- Ensure company compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations. Maintain HR policies and employee handbooks, updating them as needed to reflect changing regulations and organizational needs
- Drive continuous improvement of HR processes and implement tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Evaluate and roll out HR solutions that align with company growth and employee needs
- Collaborate with the Head of People on the development and implementation of people-focused programs in areas such as performance management, employee engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Support manager training and development efforts without the need to own all strategic programs
- Ensure company values are embedded in people practices and initiatives. Promote a vibrant, remote-first work culture that supports employee engagement and connection
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with a variety of HR tools- Culture Amp, Sequoia One, All Voices, Deel and HRIS implementation experience a plus
- Desire to work in a start-up environment where resources are still being built out and refined
