Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Summary

Requirements

• Prior experience with a range of orchestration and configuration management tools. We use Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform and Salt
• An ability to develop tooling, and monitoring solutions where none exist and can debug unreliable software - many of the projects we run are of alpha quality
• Possesses good knowledge of security as it relates to bare-metal and cloud-based infrastructure
• Strong troubleshooting expertise , especially with regard to crash & performance issues, load-balancing, VIPs/fail-over IPs, RAID
• Experience programming in Rust, Typescript, or Go, and expertise in monitoring systems such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Datadog, or other
• Familiarity with networking, load balancing, and related features/services offered by cloud providers such as AWS or GCP
• Familiarity with Linux security standards and best practices

Responsibilities

• You’ll work on infrastructure automation by designing, setting up, and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) whilst also providing automated provisioning and orchestration of internal development, staging, and production services using Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and similar technologies
• You’ll help manage virtual network infrastructure through our cloud providers such as AWS and GCP, including DNS/domain management, firewall and load balancing services
• As part of the above, you’ll play a significant role in designing, writing and delivering software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and performance of our platform
