Senior Internal Auditor

Summary

Join IntelliPro as an Internal Audit Senior for a 6-month (potentially extendable) remote position within the USA. This role focuses on operational audits and advisory activities across various business units, requiring independent and collaborative work to evaluate processes, assess risks and controls, and provide actionable recommendations. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, tech-savvy, and skilled at building relationships. Responsibilities include executing operational audits, working with business leaders, managing audit-related processes, providing recommendations, delivering reports, and ensuring adherence to project timelines. A minimum of 5 years of audit experience and a background in internal audit are required. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is also necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of audit experience
• A background in internal audit is required; experience with a Big 4 or national firm is strongly preferred
• Experience conducting operational audits (not regulatory)
• Strong risk assessment, design evaluation, and reporting skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

Responsibilities

• Execute operational audits: develop test steps, review and analyze evidence, assess risk and control gaps, and document findings
• Work closely with business leaders to understand objectives, define risks, evaluate controls, and advise on enhancements
• Manage audit-related testing, sampling, stakeholder communication, and change approval processes
• Provide recommendations on process improvements and risk mitigation strategies
• Deliver clear, concise audit reports and drive remediation efforts to closure
• Ensure adherence to project timelines and contribute to team deliverables

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CA, CIA, CFA, CISA, CISSP, CFE) strongly preferred
