Senior IOS Developer

Summary

The job is for an iOS Engineer at a global news organization. The role involves collaborating with teams to design and build solutions, leading architectural decisions, identifying technological issues, and delivering complex projects with high quality. The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, 6+ years of Engineering Experience building iOS applications using Swift and Objective-C, understanding of iOS's architectural components, multi-threading, concurrent programming, memory management, performance optimization, offline available applications experiences, proven working knowledge of software engineering techniques, methodologies, and practices, ability to lead large initiatives, and the ability to consistently evaluate current technical approaches.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience
• 6+ years of Engineering Experience building iOS applications using Swift and Objective-C
• Broad and deep understanding of iOS’s architectural components (CoreData, UIKit, SwiftUI, etc.) and the MVC architecture
• Understanding of multi-threading, concurrent programming, memory management, and/or performance optimization
• Experience working with offline available applications experiences
• Proven working knowledge of software engineering techniques, methodologies, and practices
• Experience leading large initiatives with the ability to course correct as needed
• Ability to consistently evaluate current technical approaches to continue to be industry best-of-class
