Senior IT Data Engineer

Summary

Join Bertoni Solutions as a Senior Data Engineer for a fully remote project with a U.S.-based client! This opportunity requires 6+ years of experience in data engineering, specifically within pharmaceutical field operations. You will design and develop large-scale data lakes, orchestrate data pipelines, and perform quality control. Fluency in Spanish/Portuguese and advanced English is mandatory, as this role is exclusively for LATAM-based candidates. The contract is initially 6 months, with potential extension, and offers professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Have minimum 6+ years of experience working as a Data Engineer
• Have experience working with data management teams supporting Pharma field operations
• Have experience in data-centric implementations such as SFA/CRM and Business Intelligence Tools
• Have 3+ years of experience with data warehouse, Master Data Management (MDM), and data integration initiatives
• Have 3+ years of experience building ETL/ELT solutions using data integration tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Databricks & Snowflake
• Have proficiency in Snowflake data warehousing
• Have strong organizational skills
• Have experience working in a production environment for multiple clients in a compliance industry
• Be able to work in a team through implementing and adopting a data management framework
• Be able to translate customer needs into technical requirements
• Have advanced written and spoken English fluency along with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Be detail-oriented and analytical with planning and organizational skills
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
• Have specific knowledge of client business and technology/data operations in the pharmaceutical industry
• Have skill in troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Be able to work in an environment that is driven by process governance
• Be bilingual (Native Spanish/Portuguese fluency and English advanced fluency or vice versa) and currently living/located in Latin America

Responsibilities

• Work independently to process information by loading / extraction of data
• Design and develop a large-scale data lake managing data flows including but not limited to Veeva/Salesforce and various sources into a common customer data hub
• Orchestrate data pipelines to extract, transform, and load CRM data and create templatized data solutions to provide data to downstream teams, such as Sales Analytics, Incentive Compensation, and Data Science teams
• Perform quality control functions on all deliverables, including standard deliverables, ad hoc loading and extraction projects
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including work instructions for all repeatable tasks
• Provide feedback on the design of new integration initiatives
• Meet clients to establish, monitor, and review deliverables
• Engage with clients to facilitate data management services related to project delivery schedule
• Other projects as deemed necessary by Management

Preferred Qualifications

• Have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Technology, or Engineering
• Have experience with Salesforce.com/Veeva or a similar CRM system
• Have prior experience with Veeva Network
• Have experience in Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences implementations and awareness of commonly used data sources for Customer Master and Sales information
• Have Azure DP-900 and/or DP-203 Certification and Training
