Join Mediaocean as a Senior Java Developer and design, develop, and maintain software features for our flagship microservice-based Media Management platform. Requirements

• 4-7 years of software development experience
• Strong background in: Java, Spring (Boot, MVC, Data JPA), Hibernate, microservice architecture and relational databases
• Passion for technology and software engineering
• Well-rounded and balanced. You get that success is also about having good work relationships and solving actual business problems
• Able to grasp modern software principles, patterns, tools, and methodologies
• Flexible in working with platforms, frameworks, and other languages that may be unfamiliar initially
• Strong dev toolbox: Git, IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, DB clients, Jenkins
• Understand the complexities of concurrent, parallel, and distributed systems
• Accountable, responsible and know how to communicate
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain elegant software solutions
• Actively engage in code reviews and knowledge sharing
• Collaborate with Product on new features to produce the best solutions
• Implement POC’s to explore new innovative technologies
• Work with DBA’s, DevOps and Infra teams to ensure production readiness
• Work closely with other engineers to develop cross-team features
• Respond to disruptions of production systems to ensure satisfied clients

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ReactJS, Knockout JS
• Experience with JMS (IBM MQ), AMQP (RabbitMQ)
• Experience with MongoDB
• Experience with NodeJS, GraphQL
• Experience with Hazelcast, ElasticSearch
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
• Experience with Kibana or New Relic
