Requirements

  • BS/MS in a relevant engineering discipline (chemical, environmental, mechanical, or closely related) or science discipline (atmospheric science, environmental science, chemistry, physics, or closely related)
  • 6+ years of relevant air quality permitting and/or air quality compliance experience
  • Strong mathematical/computational skills including high-level use of spreadsheets and word processing
  • Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills
  • Experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time on average during the year
  • Possession of a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Estimate air emissions and conduct engineering evaluations of air pollution sources
  • Conduct computer modeling of air pollution dispersion and analyze pollution control measures
  • Perform statistical and geospatial analyses of air quality data
  • Conduct air monitoring and indoor air quality analysis and prepare air quality permit applications
  • Critically review and interpret local, state, and federal environmental regulations
  • Maintain client relationships and manage the development of deliverables to meet client needs in an efficient manner
