Summary

Connor Group is hiring remote professionals for finance projects within their clients' finance, accounting, and operation departments. The role involves financial due diligence, identifying critical deal issues, challenging assumptions related to future financial projections, and reviewing and preparing due diligence reports. Desired skills include strong Excel skills, experience with advanced data applications like Power Query and/or Alteryx, and a Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.

Requirements

• Comfortable with advanced Excel functionalities: building flatfiles, pivot tables, macros, and using advanced formulas such as SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH, INDIRECT
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Perform financial and accounting due diligence procedures for buy-side or sell-side due diligence engagements
• Identifying and communicating critical deal issues, the strength and weakness of the business against industry benchmarks to client management that could impact the purchase price or the deal structure
• Challenging assumptions related to future financial projections
• Identifying critical post-closing matters to be addressed to ensure improvements in profitability and cash flows
• Interacting extensively with personnel of the target companies and the client
• Reviewing and preparing due diligence reports outlining analyses and findings
• Assist with the finalization of (i) opening balance sheet/ of purchase price allocations, and (ii) closing working capital calculations
