Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a data professional, preferably with a focus on M&A activities
  • Proficient in writing highly-performant SQL queries and python scripts for analysis
  • Strong understanding and experience in data analysis, preferably in an M&A context
  • Experience in stakeholder management and requirement gathering
  • Proficient in visualizing datasets using BI tools (such as Looker, Tableau, Mode, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Experience with ELT/ETL tools (such as Fivetran, Stitch, etc.) and data transformation tools (like dbt, Dataform, Terraform, etc.)
  • Familiarity with software engineering best practices like version control and continuous integration
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, any other language used within our company network is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth data analysis using SQL/Python as part of the due diligence and data migration processes during M&A activities
  • Develop and maintain robust data models to support the analysis and interpretation of complex M&A data
  • Collaborate with team members through version control and peer reviews, ensuring high-quality data analysis and interpretation
  • Gather and interpret requirements from various internal business units (M&A, Finance, Legal, Strategy, etc.) involved in the acquisition process
  • Translate complex M&A business requirements into thorough, insightful data analyses that inform strategic decisions
  • Maintain and expand our data catalogue with a focus on M&A related data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy during data migrations
  • Guide analysts and business users in identifying relevant data points and metrics to track M&A progress and outcomes, using data visualization tools like Looker
  • Enable teams to explore M&A-related data marts in a self-service manner, fostering a data-driven culture
  • Stay updated with industry trends and new technologies to ensure we remain a fast-moving technology adopter in the M&A space
