Summary
Join Veo as our Senior Manager, Accounting and drive the month-end financial close, balance sheet reconciliations, and assist with preparing monthly financial statements. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead process improvements, focusing on automation and efficiency. You will manage accounts payable, receivable, and tax reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP. Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor the accounting team. This is a hybrid role (primarily in-office in Santa Monica, with a remote option available with 25% travel).
Requirements
- 7+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and Excel/Google Sheets
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels
- Prior experience in a start-up environment, with proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and reporting schedules, ensuring accuracy, as well as supporting FP&A with performing variance analyses
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax reporting processes, and other accounting functions
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, policies, and systems to increase efficiency, scalability, while maintaining and improving internal controls
- Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to obtain relevant contextual information and support cross functional company initiatives
- Drive the implementation of accounting policies and procedures and adhering to controls to ensure all financial transactions are accounted for in accordance with GAAP principles
- Collaborate with leaders and assist with preparation of consolidated financial statements and footnote disclosures including supporting documentation
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional growth and collaboration

CPA or equivalent

- Our total compensation package for this role, including bonus potential, ranges from $140,000 - $170,000
- Competitive Compensation Package for Remote (w/ 25% Travel) candidates that consists of a base salary range of $120,000 - $135,000 + Annual Performance Bonus + Equity (Stock Options) + Full Range of Benefits
- Our total compensation package for this role, including bonus potential, ranges from $120,000 - $145,000
