Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent required
- 7-9+ years of relevant in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or accounting operations experience
- Global public company experience subject to SOX regulation operating across diverse regulatory frameworks, with sales and operations located in multiple countries
- Experience proactively providing insight, driving engagement, strong controllership, and ensuring consistent execution of day to day responsibilities of the team
- Experience leading and executing significant business process and system changes
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and consistency in preparation of work
- Excellent organizational and process understanding
- Able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Manage the global accounts payable and accounts receivable teams to drive initiatives to streamline processes and improve accounting line support and deliver on core day-to-day responsibilities in a highly manual environment without the aid of a robust accounting system or tool
- Work with Order Management, Operations, Procurement, and Product organizations to enhance cash payment and receipt processes to meet internal stakeholder and customer objectives, while yielding desired economic and accounting outcomes
- Design and maintain an effective internal control environment over the procure to pay and order to cash process as they relate to payables and receivables
- Work closely with the external auditor to facilitate annual audit process and address any audit requests and findings
- Serve as business owner of accounts payable and accounts receivable related to new ERP implementation and any related systems as it relates to process requirements, configurations and user acceptance testing
- Provide management with financial reporting information and operational support by providing period-end reporting such as aging reports, expense reporting, accruals and inputs for cash forecasting
- Manage and monitor the line of credit for availability and debt covenant requirements
- Manage the travel & entertainment expense management process including development of a process to identify expenses out of compliance with the T&E policy
- Oversee the accounting team in China, supporting the recording of accounting transactions, intercompany activities and T&E expense management
