Join Khan Academy as an Analytics Manager to lead the Analytics function within the Data Insights Group. Lead and mentor a team focused on product and KPI reporting for various teams. Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Product Analytics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience leading and managing an Analytics team with 4+ members
- Experience developing data models and dashboards using BI tools (Looker preferred)
- Comfort working across the full analytics lifecycleโfrom measurement plan to instrumentation to data storytelling
- Advanced SQL skills, with a strong foundation in descriptive and inferential statistics
- Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks
- Excellent communication skills across verbal, written, and visual formats, with a track record of effective collaboration across Engineering, Product, Philanthropy, Content, and Senior Leadership teams

Responsibilities
- Lead the Analytics Team
- Lead and coach a team focused on exceptional fundamental product and KPI reporting for various cross-functional teams, including: Product, Philanthropy, District Success, and International
- Step in, as needed, to support team members navigating complex projects or challenging stakeholder prioritization
- Foster a culture of collaboration, shared learning, and continuous improvement within the Analytics team
- Review code to ensure quality, consistency, and maintainability across analytics outputs
- Provide coaching and professional development opportunities, including mentoring on soft skills, access to formal training programs, and peer learning initiatives to help Analysts expand their technical expertise, as well as their leadership
- Cultivate a Data-Informed Culture
- Promote thoughtful, insight-driven decision-making throughout the organization
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive strategic prioritization, including setting goals, aligning on timelines, and making resource allocation decisions for Analytics work across the organization to maximize impact and alignment with company goals
- Drive a data self-service culture by ensuring cross-functional stakeholders have easy-to-use, reliable dashboards
- Develop engaging ways to communicate key performance metrics, such as through dashboards, internal reports, or monthly business review presentations with internal teams
- Support Strategic Initiatives
- Partner with the Sr. Director of the Data Insights Group to ensure strong Analytics representation in the evaluation and prioritization of strategic initiatives
- Conduct ad hoc analyses for strategic projects as needed, often in collaboration with senior leadership to address questions about product performance, user behavior, or organizational impact
