Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or enterprise reporting, with a strong track record of executing data strategies
  • Hands-on experience with BI and data warehouse tools, databases, and data modeling (relational, document-based, SQL, NoSQL)
  • Strong expertise in data modeling techniques and strategies to ensure efficient, scalable data structures
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting (Python, SQL, Bash preferred) for data pipeline development and automation
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring junior data engineers and/or analysts
  • Process improvement mindset, identifying and implementing efficiencies in data workflows and infrastructure
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language

Responsibilities

  • Support and execute the data strategy to align with company goals and the product roadmap
  • Oversee technical execution for data-related initiatives, including data architecture, warehousing, analytics, and reporting
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand and address data and insight needs
  • Develop and maintain scalable and secure data infrastructure to support storage, reporting, and security requirements
  • Implement best practices for building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and ensure effective data governance
  • Lead and mentor a small team of data engineers, fostering professional growth and collaboration
  • Monitor and optimize the cost and performance of data products, cloud services, and third-party tooling

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
