Senior Manager, Product Design

Summary

Join Onebrief as their Product Design leader and play a pivotal role in shaping and developing their military planning tool used worldwide. Lead a team of Product Designers, understanding customer pain points and translating them into effective design solutions. Your work will encompass UX, UI, user research, and all product facets, from new features to the design system. Collaborate with product and engineering partners and organizational leaders. Shape Onebrief's design culture and processes, ensuring products exceed user expectations. Report directly to the Head of Product. The ideal candidate has experience delivering B2B SaaS products with innovative and simple design.

Requirements

• Be a seasoned design leader with a track record of managing and scaling design teams, ideally in a fast-paced tech environment
• Have a positive track record of partnering with key stakeholders and leaders in designing and building business-critical products
• Have successfully helped launch products from 0 to 1
• Be able to discover what users truly need even when they don't understand it themselves
• Take ownership and always find a way to move important design initiatives forward
• Ensure the highest quality of design work by setting clear standards, encouraging innovation, and maintaining a user-centered approach

Responsibilities

• Shape and develop Onebrief’s end-to-end military planning tool
• Lead a team of Product Designers
• Understand customer pain points and translate them into simple and effective design solutions
• Work across UX, UI, and user research
• Cover all facets of the product, from defining ground-up new features to shaping our design system
• Shape the future of Onebrief’s offerings in collaboration with product and engineering partners, and leaders across the organization
• Shape Onebrief’s design culture
• Refine Onebrief’s design processes
• Ensure that Onebrief’s products exceed user expectations

Preferred Qualifications

• Have delivered B2B SaaS products where innovative and simple design was vital to their success
• Have experience with projects involving aspects of creative support, data visualization, or modern collaboration
