Requirements

  • 8+ years of security leadership experience, ideally across multi-site operations
  • Comfortable conducting on-site assessments and creating risk heat maps in Excel
  • Proactively quantifies risks, communicates effectively with frontline teams and executives, and drives strategic security initiatives
  • Strong ability to optimize vendor performance, ensuring results beyond basic management
  • Extensive experience managing budgets over $5 million and handling internal investigations
  • Skilled in analyzing security incident data, identifying trends, and developing actionable strategies
  • Eligible for Security Sensitive Employee classification under federal transportation guidelines, with ability to travel up to 75% as needed

Responsibilities

  • Lead security escalations, coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies (including TSA and DHS), and act as the primary contact for internal stakeholders
  • Conduct field security assessments using operational risk modeling, oversee security audits across terminals, bus stops, and corporate facilities, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Handle budget planning, vendor selection, onboarding, administrative oversight, and performance optimization for third-party security providers; process and approve invoices for a large-scale budget
  • Collect and analyze security data using dashboards to uncover risk trends, assess vendor effectiveness, and drive smart decision-making
  • Develop, maintain, and audit security policies and procedures, manage security equipment and surveillance systems, and create federal grant applications to fund initiatives
  • Lead security investigations with Legal, provide expert testimony when necessary, and represent Greyhound with professionalism in law enforcement interactions
  • Design and deliver security training programs for frontline and corporate employees, launch new market security strategies, and provide executive security briefings with actionable recommendations
