Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on development of complex systems
• 4+ years managing software engineering teams of at least five engineers
• Proven experience developing high-volume, high-performance APIs, ideally for a SaaS product
• Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to mentor, motivate, and guide teams effectively
• Deep understanding of software engineering principles, development methodologies, and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience managing complex development projects, including resource allocation, planning, and risk management

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of back-end engineers (Ruby on Rails, Golang, Python, Rust), fostering professional growth and technical excellence
• Enforce best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of scalable, high-quality software
• Partner with product management and engineering teams to align development efforts with business objectives, timelines, and requirements
• Prioritize and allocate engineering resources effectively, setting realistic milestones and monitoring progress to ensure timely delivery
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement by staying informed on emerging technologies and integrating industry best practices
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, expectation management, and regular feedback loops to enhance customer satisfaction
