Requirements
- 4+ years of engineering management experience, including managing teams of 6+ engineers across various levels, including Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs)
- Proven ability to foster team collaboration, mentor engineers, and promote career growth within the organization
- Strong proficiency in Java, React, and modern web technologies for building scalable, user-centric applications
- Hands-on experience with cloud services such as GCP or AWS, including container orchestration with GKE
- Deep understanding of Code Security practices and frameworks to ensure secure software development lifecycles
- Expertise in working with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as real-time data streaming technologies like Kafka
- Demonstrated ability to design and build enterprise-level applications that meet high standards of scalability, performance, and security
- Experience in leading architecture decisions for complex, distributed systems
- Skilled in implementing and managing systems for analytics, monitoring, and data-driven decision-making
- Ability to optimize and streamline data pipelines to improve system efficiency
Responsibilities
- Lead by example with selfless leadership, prioritizing the development and success of team members and fostering a servant-leadership mindset
- Mentor and coach engineering managers and senior engineers to enhance their leadership, technical, and strategic skills
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and psychological safety across teams
- Build and scale high-performing teams through strategic hiring, professional development, and inclusive practices
- Align engineering roadmaps with organizational objectives, ensuring business priorities drive technical goals
- Partner with executives, product managers, and design leaders to define and execute a unified vision for engineering and product delivery
- Regularly assess and adapt technical strategies to meet changing market conditions and customer needs
- Own and drive the delivery of scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions while adhering to industry best practices
- Oversee system architecture, ensuring it supports scalability, performance, and future business growth
- Set and enforce high standards for code quality, system reliability, and operational excellence
- Proactively manage risks, including technical debt and system vulnerabilities, while balancing innovation with stability
- Act as a key liaison between engineering and other departments, ensuring cross-functional alignment and smooth collaboration
- Collaborate with UX and product teams to ensure technical feasibility and seamless integration of user experience in designs
- Communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Define and track KPIs and metrics to evaluate team performance, system health, and project outcomes
- Leverage analytics, telemetry, and customer feedback to inform decisions and continuously improve processes and products
- Drive transparency and clarity in decision-making, ensuring principles and data guide key outcomes
- Champion the use of modern front-end technologies and design systems to deliver intuitive, accessible, and high-performing user interfaces
- Partner with customer success and support teams to incorporate user feedback into product design and functionality improvements
- Promote UX best practices, ensuring a customer-centric approach to software design and development
- Foster a culture of relentless improvement, using retrospectives and data-driven insights to refine team processes and tools
- Advocate for DevOps practices, driving automation, collaboration, and continuous delivery across teams
