Requirements

  • Possess an advanced science degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, RN, NP, PA, or equivalent)
  • Have prior cellular therapy experience in hematology/oncology
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Show demonstrated skill in managing multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal guidance and oversight
  • Have the ability to deliver scientific and clinical presentations to various audiences
  • Be able to manage projects and work well with cross-functional team members to achieve corporate and department objectives
  • Demonstrate a positive, collaborative attitude with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Be able and have the flexibility to travel all over the US for medical congress coverage, exhibit booth staffing, and support the headquarters team with clinical site visits depending on business needs (may require weekend travel depending on medical congress schedule)
  • Be able to work well under pressure given time constraints
  • Work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Proactively identify issues and have a solutions-oriented approach
  • Think strategically and make independent decisions

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a medical advocate for Caribou by utilizing disease state knowledge and a detailed understanding of investigational cellular therapy product(s) to engage healthcare providers during scientific exchange
  • Identify, build, and maintain successful relationships with clinical investigators, key opinion leaders, and academic center research personnel
  • Support trial site profiling activities
  • Prioritize solutions to challenging scenarios and develop mitigation strategies to support the needs of the healthcare team
  • Collaborate with medical leadership to support various types of medical affairs projects (e.g., trial protocol development, publications support, training), regardless of complexity, and escalate issues to senior leaders as needed
  • Provide detailed, clear, and regular communication to the headquarters medical team and effectively deliver complex medical/scientific information to HCPs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have an established rapport with cell therapy clinicians within the territory
  • Have experience with medical writing, publication development, and managing medical/legal/regulatory reviews of externally facing scientific materials
  • Have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including clinical development & research and clinical operations, to support clinical trial site outreach and recruitment
  • Have 5+ years as a MSL with cellular therapy launch experience
