Senior .NET Developer, Remote - United States

Summary

The job is for a .NET Developer to support the modernization of the VA's Electronic Health Record system. The developer will design, develop, and maintain software solutions in an agile environment. The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years’ experience with .NET, Angular, React and MS SQL full stack development, and experience with EHR systems, Integration protocols, CCDA, HL7, JSON and XML messaging.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or computer science
• 5+ years’ experience with .NET, Angular, React and MS SQL full stack development
• Experience in Cache/InterSystems HealthShare UCR, IRIS database, ObjectScript, XSLT Development and/or Oracle development
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR), VA’s Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA), and/or Oracle Health Millennium
• Must have strong software development experience
• Must have experience in Integration protocols such as TCPIP/MLLP, SFTP, REST, SOAP
• Should have proficiency in CCDA, HL7, JSON and XML messaging

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and participate in coding activities with .NET
• Oversee best practices design and development, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with fellow developers and Technical Leads
• Participate in architecture enhancements by supporting enterprise and maintenance releases
• Engage with external team members and business owners to explain the existing and new applications or functionalities
• Maintain and assist in documenting processes to support other development efforts
• Debug and fix defects in Cache/InterSystems HealthShare/IRIS related to HIE connected Healthcare participants
• Ensure systems development and support and create design and technical specifications from business requirement specifications
• Enable successful project delivery, customer satisfaction, drive project and technology goals in compliance with organizational objectives

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with CI/CD Pipelines using GitLab is preferred
• Experience in using Cache/IRIS/HealthShare Terminal sessions will be preferred
• Strong knowledge of applying software development methodologies (SDLC, Agile) is an added advantage
• Proficiencies in relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server will be a bonus
