Summary

Join our growing legal team as an experienced Paralegal specializing in employment and U.S. labor law. You will be instrumental in supporting the development of our legal tech product, ensuring our platform provides accurate and up-to-date legal information to customers. Collaborate with attorneys, product managers, and content specialists to maintain compliance with current legal standards. This role demands strong legal research, writing, and communication skills, along with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into user-friendly formats. The position requires a proactive approach and comfort working in a fast-paced, tech-forward environment. You will be responsible for responding to customer queries, developing legal content, conducting quality assurance reviews, and monitoring legal changes. This is a full-time position with a Monday-Friday schedule.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field or 4 years of work experience in lieu
  • 5+ years of experience as a paralegal, with at least 3 years focused on employment and U.S labor law
  • Solid understanding of U.S. employment laws and regulatory requirements (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC guidelines), along with multi-state compliance
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and editing skills
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Experience translating complex legal concepts into user-friendly language and formats
  • Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, tech-forward environment
  • Tech-savvy; comfortable using tools, such as legal research databases
  • Fluent in English, with strong written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer legal queries in a clear, professional, and timely manner based on SLA requirements
  • Develop and maintain legal content, including templates, policies, how-to guides, checklists, FAQs, articles, etc, tailored to employment and labor law for HR professionals
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of legal content and data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity
  • Monitor, track, and report on changes to federal, state, and local employment and labor laws
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Customer Success, to incorporate legal insights into the platform
  • Support legal research, documentation, and process improvements to enhance product reliability and customer trust

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with legal technology or compliance platforms products is a plus
  • Experience working with or advising HR or compliance teams is a plus
