Join GoDaddy's team as a Senior Paralegal and contribute to global subpoena compliance and litigation support. Requirements
- 6+ years of paralegal experience, with a strong focus on corporate litigation and subpoena compliance, gained either in an in-house legal department or law firm
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential legal matters with the highest level of discretion and integrity, ensuring compliance with all relevant privacy laws and organizational guidelines
- Experience managing a high volume of legal matters while maintaining meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to explain complex legal matters clearly and concisely
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
Responsibilities
- Analyze subpoenas, law enforcement, and other regulatory and legal requests to ensure that they meet the legal standards for such requests, based upon your knowledge and experience and, when necessary, advice acquired from legal counsel
- Assist with domestic and international litigation, pre-litigation, and regulatory matters, including navigating through civil procedure and partnering with in-house counsel
- Conduct internal research necessary to identify relevant documents and information
- Timely and accurately process discovery requests, all while ensuring the privacy and security of business and customer information in accordance with the law and GoDaddyβs various policies and procedures
- Independently draft legal documents such as discovery responses
- Interface and correspond with outside legal counsel, law enforcement, and internal employees
- Manage file organization and maintenance to include, indexing, closure, and destruction
- Travel, when necessary, to represent the company as a records custodian witness
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to team members related to more complex legal matters
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in the Internet industry
- Familiarity with the unique legal challenges in the tech space
- Experience in international legal environments, particularly in India and/or Brazil
- Prior experience working with law enforcement or handling investigations
