Summary

Join Consensys, a leading blockchain and web3 software company, as a Senior Platform Engineer on our Internal Developer Platform Team. You will build, deploy, and operate our internal platform, built with Backstage and Crossplane. Contribute to expanding platform capabilities, deliver high-quality functionality, collaborate with DevOps teams, and design architectures for new initiatives. Troubleshoot production issues, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and identify bugs. This role requires extensive experience with Kubernetes, infrastructure tooling (especially Crossplane), AWS networking, and CI/CD processes. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working with Kubernetes and its internals
  • Strong commitment to producing readable, well-designed, and well-tested solutions
  • Have exceptional problem-solving abilities, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Extensive experience with infrastructure tooling, particularly Crossplane
  • Background in software engineering, preferably with Go
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AWS networking (VPCs/Routing, Transit Gateway, etc.)
  • Proficiency with load balancing and reverse proxies (NLBs and Nginx)
  • Experience in network security (Web Application Firewalls, Rate Limiting, DDoS mitigation, etc.)
  • Experience with observability solutions, especially the Grafana OSS stack (LGTM)
  • Experience with CI/CD processes, particularly continuous deployment (CD) using ArgoCD

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to expanding the platform’s offerings and capabilities
  • Deliver high-quality, well-tested, and reliable functionality and services to production environments
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to assess and recommend technologies that support organizational needs
  • Work closely with other infrastructure teams to holistically integrate their offerings into the platform
  • Design and communicate thoughtful, thorough architectures for new initiatives
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for the platform and its components
  • Identify, report, and fix bugs in both private and public projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Passion for Kubernetes and the Cloud Native ecosystem
  • Deep understanding of the Kubernetes API, architecture, resource model, and programming paradigms
  • Active participation in open-source communities, including contributions, speaking engagements, and blogging
