Summary
Join Contentsquare as a seasoned Infrastructure Engineer and lead challenging projects within our Platform & Infrastructure teams. You will be responsible for scaling our core platform, optimizing our database engine, and building a new data lake system. This role requires strong software engineering skills, experience with DevOps tooling, and a deep understanding of cloud computing (AWS). You will work with a distributed team across US West and Australian time zones. Requirements
- A collaborative and intellectually curious approach to software development and infrastructure design
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in writing
- A track record of leading projects to success over many years (5-7+ years of experience), with deep experience in building data platforms at scale for both ad hoc analytical and batch processing workloads
- Experience with modern DevOps tooling, infrastructure as code, configuration management, CI pipelines, and package managers
- A strong understanding of cloud computing with 5+ years of working with AWS
Responsibilities
- Extend and scale the core platform that runs all of Contentsquare
- Remove bottlenecks in the event ingestion pipeline (Kafka / Scala)
- Optimize and extend the distributed database engine (Postgres / Singlestore)
- Build a new data lake system for batch querying
- Break up monolithic services into smaller, more manageable chunks
- Define more explicit API boundaries and object schemas across Contentsquare services
- Help de-risk the stack and add more 9s to availability
- Incorporate open source tooling
- Understand the codebase and debug issues
