Requirements

  • 3+ years cloud/DevOps/backend engineering experience
  • Software development experience, especially in Python, Java or golang
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially in Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience in designing public cloud services, especially with Amazon Web Services
  • Experience using metrics and logs to troubleshoot and resolve complicated problems
  • Experience documenting changes and instructive guides
  • Experience with Continuous integration (CI/CD) with multiple deployments each day
  • Experience with Containerization, configuration management, CI/CD and other β€œDevOps” tools
  • Passion for building highly secure and scalable apps
  • Must be a US citizen and be located in the U.S

Responsibilities

  • Be part of the team developing the data.world cloud and automation infrastructure
  • Use a variety of technologies to support code delivery and production operations of a cloud hosted, service oriented web application
  • Build an environment in which engineering teams are able to build, test, and run their applications in production
  • Work with an agile software delivery team on new projects
  • Directly counsel / train other engineers on cloud technology and how to use our dev platform

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience running large scale cloud applications in multiple geographic regions
  • Experience with security frameworks such as NIST or FedRAMP
