Summary

TrustYou is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to help make guests happy by building and operating their private cloud infrastructure. The engineer will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining Kubernetes infrastructure, automating provisioning processes, enabling frequent deployments, monitoring and optimizing the cloud, implementing security best practices, and troubleshooting infrastructure issues. Candidates must have over 10 years of experience, with at least 4 years managing a Kubernetes infrastructure on bare metal servers, proficiency in Linux and scripting languages, deep knowledge of networks and CI/CD principles, and solid understanding of observability tools. Requirements

  • More than 10 years of total experience, with at least 4 years managing a Kubernetes infrastructure on bare metal servers with IaaC tools like Ansible or ArgoCD
  • Proficiency in Linux and one or more scripting languages
  • Deep knowledge of networks, especially Kubernetes CNIs
  • Solid understanding of the CI/CD principles and the GitOps approach
  • Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo or Thanos
  • Outstanding teamwork skills, with clear communication, flexibility, openness to debate and challenge, and the ability to mentor within and beyond your team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed environment
  • Fluent in English

Responsibilities

  • Planning, implementing and maintaining with a DevOps mindset our Kubernetes infrastructure which runs on bare metal servers
  • Automating the process of provisioning infrastructure with GitOps workflows
  • Enabling the rest of the engineering teams to run frequent and reliable deployments
  • Monitoring, analyzing and optimizing our cloud to meet business requirements and SLAs
  • Implementing and maintaining security best practices and compliance standards
  • Troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime

Preferred Qualifications

  • Able to take ownership of a complex private cloud setup together with the rest of the Infra team
  • Experienced with distributed storage systems like CEPH or Minio
  • Experienced operating one or more of PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, ElasticSearch, ClickHouse or RabbitMQ in a data intensive environment
  • Familiar with public clouds like AWS or Azure
  • Having a bias for automation
  • Looking forward to adopting AI extensively, both for the daily work and as part of our SaaS platform
