Summary

Planet Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Senior Power Platform Developer to join their team. The candidate will be responsible for developing robust Power Platform Canvas apps, scalable Power Automate flows, and integrating with multiple data sources. Experience in sensitive Government environments is preferred. The role is in a fast-paced, mission-sensitive IT environment.

Requirements

  • Experience building enterprise Canvas apps
  • Strong experience with Power FX, performant development, delegation, responsive design and other Canvas-specific best practice
  • Experience building robust and efficient Power Automate flows, including optimizing for API calls and modularizing via development of reusable parent / child flows
  • Work with Power Platform security within a Business Unit Parent/Child hierarchy. Able to work with security roles, Dataverse teams and assign Azure Security Groups. Work with Graph Explorer as necessary
  • Able to work with out of the box connectors and build custom connectors. Experience connecting to and working with data stored in Dataverse and Oracle. Comfortable working with Dataflows, Power Query ETL and the Common Data Model
  • Experience working with Geo-spatial data a plus
  • Able to read/write data using REST and SOAP API’s, including private API’s accessed via a Data Gateway. Comfortable working with JSON, XML and Azure App Registrations
  • Power BI skills. Able to build and integrate robust reports and dashboards
  • Familiar with unit, integration and acceptance testing, app checker and solution checker
  • Familiar with common tools including VS Code, Visual Studio, XRM Toolbox, etc. Experience with related technologies including: .NET, C#, Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, JavaScript, FetchXML, oData a plus
  • Experience developing canvas apps to meet 508 accessibility requirements
  • Experience working with / linking to SharePoint online and document libraries
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word skills
  • Good Communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Related Microsoft Certifications e.g., Microsoft PL-200, PL-400

Responsibilities

  • Develop robust, responsive enterprise Power Platform Canvas apps to design specifications following modern UI/UX and Power FX coding best practices
  • Develop scalable Power Automate flows, focusing on efficient design and optimal throughput while leveraging best practice modularization techniques
  • Leverage data stored in Dataverse and other locations including via on-premise Data Gateways
  • Integrate and work with multiple data sources including Sharepoint Online and API-sourced relational and Geo-spatial data
  • Develop in-app and Power BI dashboards, charts and reports. Integrate Power BI reports as necessary
  • Work in an Agile scrum environment utilizing Azure DevOps backlog and sprints to identify and meet project deliverables
  • Utilize Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) managed environments, repos and pipelines, leveraging solution integration and delivery across Dev, Test, Training and Prod environments

Preferred Qualifications

Power Virtual Agents (Copilot Studio) and AI skills and experience a plus
