Summary

Requirements
- 7+ years in data analytics, including 3+ years of leadership experience as a people manager
- Strong business acumen, with proven experience in a commercial data environment
- Excellent communication and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated ability to transform product & business requirements into clear and actionable visualizations
- Track record of working with data modeling
- Strong proficiency in SQL (BigQuery)
- Experience with self-serve dashboard tooling (Tableau), basic knowledge of R or Python
- Exceptional analytical thinking and a foundational understanding of statistics (particularly concerning online experiments)
Responsibilities
- Lead a high-performing team: You'll inspire and guide your analytics team, helping them set and achieve ambitious goals that significantly contribute to the success of both the department and ResearchGate as a whole
- Generate actionable insights: Conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative analyses of user behavior, transforming data into clear reports and insights that empower internal stakeholders
- Optimize data tracking: Take ownership of our existing tracking methods to monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and proactively introduce new tracking solutions as organizational needs evolve
- Strategic partnership: Work closely with product, engineering and commercial management, providing crucial data analysis to help them achieve their objectives
- Champion data quality and usage: Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure our data is accurate, reliable, and used effectively and efficiently across the organization
- Drive operational excellence: Continuously improve the processes and tools used by our analysts, boosting efficiency within the team and across different functions
- Define and execute the analytics vision: Set a clear vision and strategy for the entire Analytics function, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with both product and company-wide strategies, and effectively champion this vision across the organization
