Requirements
- Experience : 5+ years of product management experience with proven expertise in data analytics and platform development, ideally with background in fintech data products, payment analytics, or financial services intelligence
- Technical Expertise : Deep technical fluency with data platforms, SQL, ETL processes, APIs, and analytics tools. Strong understanding of big data technologies like Hadoop and visualization platforms like Looker or similar
- Data Product Mindset : Passion for transforming complex financial data into actionable business insights. You care deeply about data accuracy, visualization excellence, and reducing friction in data consumption
- Analytical Excellence : Strong analytical mindset with experience in statistical modeling, A/B testing, multivariate analysis, and data mining techniques. Proven ability to uncover patterns in transaction data and user behavior
- Communication : Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You can clearly articulate complex data insights to both technical teams and executive stakeholders, crafting compelling data narratives for diverse audiences
- Domain Knowledge : Understanding of card issuing operations, payment processing flows, fraud detection patterns, and financial services data requirements. Familiarity with regulatory reporting and compliance data needs
- Strategic Thinking : Experience managing data platform roadmaps and coordinating with multiple teams. Ability to balance long-term data strategy with immediate business needs
- Adaptability : Data requirements and business needs always evolve, but you still positively navigate changing priorities with creativity and strategic focus
Responsibilities
- Define Data Strategy : Set the strategy for data products across transaction analytics, card performance insights, fraud detection data, and business intelligence platforms, ensuring alignment with company strategy and translating that into projects for the next 3, 6, and 12 months
- Champion Data-Driven Decision Making : Advocate for customers and bank partners by transforming complex financial data into actionable insights, enhancing card program optimization, fraud prevention, and business performance. Be the voice of data users through direct engagement, research, and collaboration with customer success teams
- Build Analytics Excellence : Maintain high-quality standards across all data products, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and scalability. Collaborate with Engineering and Data Science to ship intuitive analytics experiences that reduce time-to-insight and increase customer data adoption
- Drive Product Innovation : Foster innovation in data visualization, real-time analytics, and predictive modeling that enables customers to optimize card programs, detect emerging fraud patterns, and improve financial performance
- Execute Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with engineering, data science, compliance, and design teams on scoping, implementation, and follow-up after launch. Collaborate with stakeholders including operations and customer success to ensure smooth delivery of data features
- Own Analytics Metrics : Design customer-centric analytics metrics to ensure we are building the right data products. Balance qualitative feedback with quantitative success metrics like dashboard adoption, query performance, and customer data engagement
- Manage Data Platform Roadmap : Lead all aspects of product management for the data platform supporting card issuing operations, transaction processing analytics, and financial reporting infrastructure
- Drive Technical Implementation : Work closely with data analysts, data engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions using big data technologies and advanced analytics platforms
