Senior Product Designer

Summary

Join ClickHouse, a leading open-source column-oriented database company, as a seasoned product designer to establish and pioneer design practices globally. You will help guide the vision for ClickHouse's core product, leading design and user experience initiatives. Responsibilities include communicating designs through various mediums, collaborating with engineers and product managers, leading design feedback sessions, advocating for users, shaping the design team's culture, and contributing to hiring efforts. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in designing complex software applications, a proven track record of impactful design solutions, and excellent visual design and communication skills. A solid understanding of front-end development and proficiency in design software are also required. Requirements

• Extensive experience designing for complex software applications
• A proven track record of driving impact through design solutions and delivering high quality products
• Experience owning products from start to finish, working with developers and PMs
• Excellent visual design skills and understanding of UX principles
• A solid understanding of front end development (HTML, CSS, React/Angular)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Advanced expertise using Figma, Sketch or equivalent design software
• Enthusiasm, self-motivation, and a willingness to take the initiative on projects

Responsibilities

• Helping guide the vision for ClickHouse by leading design and user experience initiatives for our core product
• Clearly communicating designs through storyboards, wireframes, prototypes, and visual mockups
• Working closely with UI engineers and product managers to help transform final designs into a finished product
• Leading design feedback sessions, both with internal and external stakeholders, to validate assumptions and solutions
• Advocating for our users by continuously measuring, iterating on, and evolving the user experience of our core products
• Helping shape the culture and direction of the design team
• Helping us continue to hire amazing people to grow the design team and bring diverse perspectives to our design process
