Product Designer

Join Eight Sleep as a Senior Product Designer to lead the design of the Eight Sleep app, working with an interdisciplinary team to deliver captivating user experiences and drive consistency across the brand.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in UX and UI in mobile design
• Have shipped your designs to public users and have data that proves either success or failure
• Be able to consider the technical implications of design decisions and have the ability to find the right balance between new user value and technical effort
• Have experience coaching junior designers and collaborating closely with Product Managers
• Be obsessed with simplicity, have a high-quality bar for the aesthetics in your design
• Thrive as an independent thinker and can manage the design process from end to end even in open-ended ambiguous environments
• Be able and flexible to iterate fast and often
• Be confident writing clear agendas and presenting design evolutions to C-Suite leadership
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in a related design field or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design and evolution of the Eight Sleep app
• Conduct usability studies and user interviews to inform design work
• Combine qualitative and quantitative customer insights to make design decisions that improve our app experience, reduce churn, and increase engagement
• Build, document, and organize the UI components of our design system to drive consistency across our app and the rest of the brand
• Align with Product and Brand stakeholders and clearly present design updates to C-suite leadership for feedback and approval
• Serve as the subject matter expert responsible for app design patterns and interactions - including researching and staying up-to-date on emerging mobile design trends and best practices
• Collaborate closely with the Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams to ship world-class products and features
