Senior Product Designer

Summary

Join Kraken's Payments and Blockchain team as a Senior Product Designer! As a fully remote role, you will collaborate with product managers, researchers, engineers, and other designers to define payment and funding experiences across Kraken products. You will translate user needs and business requirements into seamless user experiences, focusing on optimized workflows and secure, compliant designs. This role requires 5+ years of experience in product design across mobile and desktop platforms, a systems-thinking approach, and excellent visual and interaction design skills. Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience delivering high-quality product design work across mobile and desktop platforms
• Systems thinker with experience designing and architecting complex product experiences holistically beyond individual features
• Demonstration of excellent visual and interaction design skills
• Understanding of quantitative and qualitative user insights
• Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and effectively communicate across and upward
• Self-driven and organized, able to navigate complex problems and ambiguities
• A desire to work on a growing and evolving design team, helping shape its culture and operations
• An interest in Bitcoin, cryptocurrency and financial products

Responsibilities

• Translate user needs and business requirements into sensible user experiences, working closely with product managers, researchers, engineers, and other designers
• Balance business objectives, customer needs and insights, and technical considerations to shape solutions that are holistically thought out
• Develop deep understanding of design systems and patterns to ensure cohesion across products and use cases, while continuing to improve our patterns and usage guidelines
• Define product information architecture and create standards that push for sensibility and scalability at the structural level and UI level
• Take concepts from research, to exploration, to prototypes, to production
• Actively participate in design reviews both seeking and giving meaningful and supportive feedback

• Past experience in core experiences, growth, or horizontal teams
• A user of our products
• Experience working on design systems
• Experience designing financial products, trading platforms, or numerically-oriented interfaces
