Senior Product Engineer

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience, startup experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and programming principles
• Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
• Proven experience in independently delivering solutions that drive measurable business impact
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with designing and building REST APIs
• Strong knowledge of React or Vue.js, and modern front-end development best practices
• Strong UI/UX skills - ability to collaborate w designers to bring mockups to life with pixel-perfect implementation
• Expertise in SQL, particularly PostgreSQL and data model design

Responsibilities

• Partner with business teams to understand challenges, objectives, and opportunities
• Develop a deep knowledge of the business and product landscape to make informed technical decisions and influence both engineering and business counterparts
• Own solving large, ambiguous problems end-to-end, from design and implementation to release while maintaining a strong sense of urgency and execution
• Champion engineering best practices by writing clean, maintainable code, actively participating in code reviews, and leveling up others around you

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Django and Django Rest Framework
• Experience with Vue.js (Vue 3)
• Experience with Tailwind
• Cloud platform experience, preferably AWS
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Highly adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
