Requirements

  • Portfolio Submission: Writing samples of your recent work
  • 5+ years of professional writing experience related to field apps or GIS; ideally a blended background including technical and creative writing
  • Exposure to web-based content management systems to create and publish documents
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, compelling content
  • Effective time management and organizational skills; work proactively and volunteer assistance without being asked and under tight turnaround
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in an agile environment with a fluid mix of collaborative and independent work
  • Bachelors in GIS, geography, computer science, English, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Write reference help documentation in our content management system about ArcGIS Field Maps, Esriโ€™s mobile solution for exploring maps, collecting data, and sharing location from the field
  • Create and maintain blog articles, videos, guides, and tutorials that provide guidance, best practices, and applied workflows for Field Maps and other field apps
  • Collaborate with development, product marketing, product management, documentation, sales, and other teams to provide learning resources about Field Maps and other field apps

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ArcGIS
  • Exposure to mobile GIS workflows such as taking web maps offline
  • Masterโ€™s in GIS, Geography, English, or related field
