Requirements
- 5+ years of senior product management experience, ideally in SaaS, with at least 3 years focused on APIs and integrations
- Experience leading product teams focused on one or more of the following areas: Platform services and APIs, Data portability solutions, Third party integrations
- Strong technical background with hands-on knowledge of REST, GraphQL, OAuth, Webhooks, and other API standards
- Proven expertise in the management and optimization of API management platforms, including but not limited to Kong, Mulesoft, Apigee, AWS API Gateway, and Azure API Gateway
- A βsystemsβ thinker mindset - you can see the big picture of how technology architectures work together and also the pros and cons of individual technology selections and how they drive, benefit, or limit long-term scalability
- Experience working with clients and partners on API-based integrations in complex technical environments
- Prior product management experience in a technical environment
- Strong team collaboration skills, including listening, learning, participating, and communicating proactively
- Ability to articulate complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with Agile development processes
Responsibilities
- Define product vision and strategy based on an understanding of market conditions, as well as stakeholder, client, and partner needs
- Deliver an API factory to create reusable, standardized, and scalable APIs across the organization
- Work alongside the development teams in defining and delivering state-of-the-art APIs to our clients and partners
- Manage our API products throughout their lifecycle, from understanding market requirements to prioritizing features and validating solutions
- Engage and interact with key clients, partners, and causes to understand their problems and convert insights into integration opportunities
- Partner with Product Marketing to package and productize Benevity APIs for cross-sell, upsell and partnership bookings growth. Understand and guide how to price and package our APIs to support the go-to-market process
- Collaborate with cross-functional product teams to integrate partner capabilities across the Benevity ecosystem and product lines
- Use discovery, experimentation, and analytics to bring impactful features to market
- Become an authority on our APIs and native integration products, representing them with excellence both inside and outside Benevity
- Be passionate about the product and about impeccable execution
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with remote teams is a plus; some travel may be required
