Senior Product Manager

Summary

Join Affirm's International team as a Senior Product Manager and drive the expansion and growth in new international markets. You will iterate on the product vision, refine the product strategy, develop a roadmap, and lead execution. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and effective stakeholder management. You will adapt Affirm's product to the UK market, understanding customer needs and driving merchant adoption. Success hinges on shipping high-impact work, partnering with engineering teams, and collaborating with stakeholders across various departments. You will deeply understand UK users and merchants, identifying and creating seamless experiences for them. The ideal candidate has experience managing technical software products, working on consumer technology products in the UK or Europe, and navigating complex organizational dynamics.

Requirements

• This isn’t your first rodeo. You’ve directly managed technical software products from kick-off to post-launch – driving meaningful business impact that you can speak to
• You have experience working on consumer technology product in the UK or Europe. Bonus points if it is a fintech product, even more bonus points if it is a BNPL product
• You’re equally comfortable diving into technical details with an engineer, iterating on a Figma with a designer, and breaking down a funnel with a data analyst
• You have the discipline, organizational skills, and interpersonal communication skills necessary to navigate complex organizational dynamics – you have specific examples of times when you’ve secured a decision from a broad group of senior stakeholders
• You’ve worked in an environment where you were reliant on engineering teams outside of your direct purview and were able to effectively influence them to prioritize and build what you needed for your product
• You’re the kind of person who cares about getting things done. You have a bias towards action and can effectively navigate obstacles and blockers
• You can turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into a solid action plan
• You have direct experience shipping high-quality products on time
• You feel comfortable jumping into the commercial aspects of product development – you’re able to pitch, contribute to negotiations, and give feedback on contracts

Responsibilities

• Drive the execution, growth, and scale of Affirm in the United Kingdom
• Take Affirm’s product and adapt it to the UK market by understanding customer needs, driving merchant adoption, analyzing performance data, and iterating on the product’s features and capabilities
• Drive success metrics by shipping high impact work that meaningfully moves the needle for Affirm’s business and customers
• Partner effectively with engineering teams across the organization to drive product development and prioritization
• Collaborate with stakeholders (such as Revenue, Legal, Compliance, Credit, Fraud, etc) to shape your product roadmap and incorporate legal, governance & regulatory oversight into your products
• Understand Affirm UK users and merchants at a deep level -- what’s important to them, what drives their decision making, why they love Affirm, and what they wish we could do better
• Identify and create the experiences that make it seamless for merchants to deliver an incredible buy now, pay later experience to consumers
