Senior Product Manager

Summary

Join Contentful as a Technical Platform Product Manager and own the roadmap for foundational services, translating long-term platform vision into clear value for customers and product teams. You will act as the connective tissue between foundational services and the company, serving internal and external developers. Treat core platform primitives as strategic product capabilities, turning them into building blocks for extensibility and reuse. Shape platform strategy, define and drive the evolution of platform services, champion domain modeling, and translate complex infrastructure decisions into clear product narratives. Define and measure success through KPIs, and represent the customer in every decision. This role requires a deep understanding of platform-as-a-product and a builder mindset.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience with at least 2+ years focused on core platform or developer-facing products
• Deep familiarity with team topologies, platform as a product mindset, domain-driven design, schema evolution, and platform abstraction patterns
• Experience building or scaling multi-tenant systems, public APIs, or internal extensibility frameworks
• Proven ability to define and ship technical products in close partnership with engineering and architecture teams
• Product depth, not breadth : You go deep, challenge assumptions, and untangle complex interdependencies
• Builder mindset : You think in abstractions, reuse, and interfaces - not just features
• Strong communicator : You can synthesize technical decisions into business rationale for execs, PMs, and engineers
• Collaborative influencer : You drive alignment across stakeholders without relying on positional authority
• Vision and ownership : You don’t wait for someone else to define “platform” - you architect the answer

Responsibilities

• Shape the platform strategy. Partner with the chief architecture office, staff engineers, design and other product manahers to define a multi-year vision for our Platform that balances composibility, consistency, extensibility, scalability, performance, developer experience
• Define and drive the evolution of platform services - including storage models and capabilities, content API layers, and reusable abstractions. Driving reliability, scale, reuse, governance, and AI readiness across the entire ecosystem of Contentful
• Champion domain modeling and work closely with Architecture, Engineering, and fellow PMs to build scalable internal and external developer surfaces
• Translate complex infrastructure decisions into clear product narrative that align with business priorities and customer outcomes
• Define and measure success through clear KPIs tied to developer velocity, reuse, internal adoption, and AI orchestration capability
• Represent the customer. Use research, analytics, and direct customer conversations to keep content creators, developers, and enterprise architects at the centre of every decision
