Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience, ideally in a SaaS or startup environment
  • Direct experience in the group and individual insurance industry
  • Proven track record leading product implementations from concept to launch
  • Ability to confidently engage with engineering and data teams; fluency in technical discussions
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex ideas into clear, actionable concepts
  • Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders and delivering results in cross-functional, fast-paced environments
  • A creative, collaborative mindset with the confidence to share your point of view and navigate differing opinions
  • Comfortable operating independently to deliver results
  • Passion for solving real-world insurance challenges with practical, data-driven solutions

Responsibilities

  • Lead product strategy and execution for AI/ML-powered tools across the insurance product lifecycle, including underwriting, policy administration, claims, and risk management
  • Partner with clients, sales, and service teams to identify opportunities, gather feedback, and shape the product roadmap
  • Present product concepts and roadmaps to internal stakeholders and external clients, including at the executive level
  • Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and user stories, collaborating closely with engineering and data teams
  • Engage in deep technical conversations with software developers, data engineers, and data scientistsโ€”and serve as the translator between business and technical stakeholders
  • Drive product development from ideation to launch, ensuring quality and timely delivery
  • Proactively identify and solve complex business problems using creativity and strategic thinking
  • Balance technical feasibility, customer impact, and business priorities to deliver maximum value

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of AI/ML, data pipelines, software architecture, or tools like Python is a plus
  • Experience working in Confluence and Jira to facilitate a disciplined product development process
