Summary

Join Gravie as a Senior Product Manager, Health Plan Product to lead the strategy and execution of insurance products. Define and launch impactful health plan products that align with Gravie's growth strategy, improve affordability, and enhance member outcomes. Collaborate with various teams to develop innovative health plan features. Develop a deep understanding of member and administrator needs to influence product roadmap and strategy. Drive the end-to-end development of new features, from ideation to launch and iteration. Define and track success metrics, ensuring proper instrumentation and measurement frameworks are in place. Lead high-impact cross-functional initiatives, managing timelines, accountability, and risk mitigation.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in health insurance product development, consulting, or related field
  • Understanding of level-funded health plan benefit design and concepts such as utilization, network structures such as PPOs and EPOs, benefit differentials and cost sharing
  • Understanding of the sales and underwriting processes used to bring self-funded health plans for small businesses to market
  • Expertise with healthcare data and leveraging analytics to make plan design designs
  • Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the product development strategy for new and existing insurance products, aligning with the company’s vision, growth objectives, and customer needs
  • Identify new product opportunities through market research, data analysis, and awareness of industry trends, ensuring Gravie’s offerings remain differentiated, sustainable, and scalable
  • Collaborate with Market Leaders, Actuarial, Sales, and Engineering to shape and refine innovative health plan features that are compliant, market-ready, and differentiated in line with the needs and expectations of Gravie’s target market
  • Develop a deep understanding of the needs of members, administrators, and internal teams to influence roadmap and broader strategy
  • Drive the end-to-end development of new features, from ideation through launch and iteration
  • Define and track success metrics, ensuring that proper instrumentation and measurement frameworks are in place
  • Develop a seamless financial incentive experience that directly impacts healthcare affordability and patient outcomes
  • Lead high-impact initiatives across cross-functional teams, managing timelines, accountability, and risk mitigation
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant Master’s Degree (e.g., MBA, MPH)
  • Experience with SMB markets, network strategy, level funded and / or Stop Loss plans
  • Background working with actuarial or clinical teams to design cost-effective benefit models
  • Familiarity with regulatory agencies and current trends in insurance policy and reform
  • Experience launching cross-functional initiatives in a compliance-heavy or regulated environment
  • Comfort working in agile teams and iterative development environments
  • Experience supporting go-to-market strategy in partnership with sales, marketing, and customer success
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to lead through influence and drive clarity across ambiguous problem spaces
